We can’t wait to share out some of our favorite Asia budget travel destinations. Especially in Southeast Asia, your money can go really far and it’s easy to manage a budget of $30 USD/day. In fact, this budget could be quite cushy!

What to expect from our Asia budget travel destinations:

We have JUST begun to explore the beginning of the 48 countries that make up Asia. Each time we make the 12+ hour trip from the States, we always come back with more places to explore. Southeast Asia is well known as one of the most budget-friendly destinations in the world! Our experiences have definitely held true to this.

On top of being able to stretch our budgets, we have also eaten some of our favorite foods ever! As a veg-head, Southeast Asia is incredibly accommodating and inclusive with many local meals already vegetarian friendly. Needless to say, it’s very hard to leave a place where you can get a delivered vegetarian meal for less then $2.50 USD. Oh the luxuries!

Why Explore Southeast Asia?

If you need more reasons to explore this corner of the world besides the low cost food, incredibly friendly and helpful locals, and overall budget value, attractions in Southeast Asia are actually accessible for a budget trip! Often times when we travel through Europe, we skip out on a lot of the top attractions because entrance fees alone are $20-$40 USD. No thanks! In Southeast Asia, it’s common to access high quality museums for $1-$5 USD or guided tours for $5-$10 USD ( we paid $8 for a 5 hour island tour in Malaysia and $2 for a kayak there for 1 hr rental!). You get the gist- now get exploring!
